Superman On Film

Superman has also been the subject of several radio programs. The first Superman radio program was The Adventures of Superman, which aired from 1940 to 1951. Bud Collyer voiced Superman in the program, and his portrayal of the character is still considered one of the most iconic.

Other Superman radio programs include Superman: The Serial (1949-1950),The New Adventures of Superman (1966-1971),and Superman: The Radio Serial (1993-2000). The most recent Superman radio program, Superman: The Audible Adventures, premiered in 2018.

Superman On Broadway

Superman has also been the subject of several Broadway productions. The first Superman Broadway musical was It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman!, which opened in 1966. The musical was a critical and commercial failure, and closed after only 12 performances.

In 2018, a new Superman musical, titled Superman & Lois, premiered on Broadway. The musical was a critical and commercial success, and ran for over 600 performances.
